Position Title: Float Fishing Guides
Description
Experienced whitewater float fishing guides that retain Colorado State Certification for the Gunnison Gorge, which is one of the top wilderness float fishing rivers. Gunnison Gorge wilderness experience and class III and IV whitewater demand a high level of experience, including professional whitewater guide, professional fly-fishing guide, outdoor wilderness guide, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Client Assessment & Safety – identifying client needs, wants, physical condition, and limitations. Ensuring a high level of security, comfort, and professionalism. Fly fishing, rafting, camping, and meals, you will need to have communication with your client’s needs and how to fulfill them.
- Understanding your environment and reading the river. (Fly Fishing and Rafting)
- River rescue and emergency first aid response.
- Proper care and use of all overnight, rafting, fishing, and camp equipment.
- High level of fly-fishing skills from beginners to advanced anglers.
Qualifications
- Trip Leader (TL) or Guide Instructor (GI) experience in the State of Colorado
- Certified in Swiftwater Rescue Training (SRT)
- Prior experience guiding commercially on Class III-IV whitewater
- Float fishing abilities on technical waters in inflatable rafts
- Float fish in dories
