Half Day - Float Fishing - Lower Gunnison River

Gunnison River Expeditions' lower Gunnison is an unforgettable 6-mile fishing trip. It features incredible desert canyon ecology and world-famous Gold Medal fly fishing, with mostly Rainbow and Brown Trout. We offer this trip year-round. Anglers can expect different insect hatches with each changing season.

Your day will begin at Pleasure Park at the confluence of the North Fork and the Gunnison River. From there you will enjoy drifting through 2 miles of private fishing waters, followed by 4 miles through the breathtaking Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area.

This half-day (4-hour) guided fishing trip is a great option for experienced anglers, as well as beginners. It's also a good choice if you are on a tight schedule. Let our professional staff know your goals for the trip so we can give you a great experience on the river.

This half-day trip concludes at Orchard. Your guide will shuttle you back to GRE at Pleasure Park.
